How to setup WebCam server on debian?

Here is good place to start. Actually, i am still in the place and have not started yet. :-D
Blog this for a interesting tip. Many vendors produce devices using other company's chips or sth. else, however, they donnot tell u whom they used. How to get these hidden info?
at least for linux, it's easy. firstly lsusb, (similarly, lspci list all pci device) it will return sth. like:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0ac8:301b Z-Star ..
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 062a:0000 Creative ..
The numbers after 'ID' are the Vendor and Product numbers, respectively. They can then be looked up in the Linux USB ID catalog. good luck
