3D Desktop!

these days, here is more like a photo blog due to lack of time to write anything patiently. so, just take photos, copy screens. anyway, the screen copy left is really cute. It's Metisse, an experimental X desktop with some OpenGL capacity. It is constituted by a virtual X server called Xwnc, a special version of FVWM and an FVWM module FvwmAmetista (after Ametista). I'd think Thomas Chung introduces it at fedoranews

Wow! I'm willing to learn using other OS's, but I'm still using Windows ME, although pretty much everyone over here has already upgraded to XP.

A friend of mine is a linux whiz, and I've been eager to learn from him. I'm a Chemical Engineer, but I'm learning about web design (and I'll later learn PHP and MySQL or Perl) but since I'm a really cheap guy, I'll try to learn by practicing.

It's gonna be a hard and long way to go!

actually, windows have similar desktop in their lab. MS has demoed one about 2 years ago. hehe, however, i donna know where can we get it.
